EL PASO -- Deshaun Williams, the 28-year-old El Paso man wanted in connection with the shooting outside a popular East Side nightclub which wounded 11 people, was arrested late Saturday night in Alamogordo, according to El Paso Police.

Williams is awaiting extradiction to El Paso.

The shooting Sept. 21 outside of Graham Central Station, 1840 N. Lee Treviño, wounded 11 people, two critically.

"It started as a confrontation between this gang member (Williams) and at least one member of a rival gang," El Paso Police spokesman Officer Chris Mears said in an El Paso Times article last month.

An arrest warrent had been issued in El Paso for Williams, of the 9800 block of Titan, on four counts of criminal attempt capital murder in connection with the Sept. 21 shooting incident and carries a $1 million bond.

Williams was identified through a photo lineup by witnesses and victims.

He has at least one other arrest warrant issued in August on a misdemeanor charge of failing to identify himself or giving a false name.
